After attending many Highland Games with David's family who has been in the Scottish import business since 1981, the wail of the bagpipes, the clan war cries, and the smell of shortbread finally got to us and we opened Great Scot in March of 1997. David has Scottish ties to Clans Armstrong, Burns, Campbell, and MacRae. My ties aren't as many, but they are just as strong as I'm affiliated with the MacDonnels of Glengarry. In August of 1997, we went on -line and have been serving the Indiana Scots as well as Scots world-wide via the world wide web. We've shipped items to Japan, Canada, Australia, and yes---even Scotland.
We believe it is important for all to participate and enjoy thier Highland heritage without going broke. That's why we've priced our imports fairly and began our kilt payment plan. You can look far and wide on the web--but we're the only on-line shop that offers this service. We truly try to go the not only the extra mile for our customers but the extra 100,000 miles.
