• Measure your height in inches:

• Measure your weight in pounds:

• Measure your girth in inches:
  Measure at the belly button. Usually larger than your pant size. Please do not hold your tummy in when taking this measurement.

• Measure your hips in inches:
  Make sure this measurement is taken very loosely at the widest part of the seat. Please empty pockets when taking the measurements. There will be a 25% surcharge if your hip measurement is over 46 inches wide. (We all know that the wider the hips, the better the swing of the Kilt.)

  • Check here if your measurement is over 46 inches.

• Measure the length in inches:
  While standing, measure from the top of the hip bone (even with belly button) to the top of the kneecap. The kilt should only come to your kness.

• Choose a pleat type:
  The Military pleat looks different in the back than in the front. This is the pleat often used by pipe bands. Pleating to sett means that the tartan pattern will look complete and unbroken on the front and back of the kilt. This is the more popular pleat style. (Click here to see the difference.)

  • Color to pleat to:
    If you chose "Pleat to stripe," you need to select which color stripe the kilt will be pleated to. For example, a Black Watch tartan can be pleated to the black, blue, or green stripe.
