Stock: Great Scot tries to keep all items in stock, but from time to time we do have to place some items on Back-Order. When placing an order, please be aware that it is possible that your item may be out of stock and it could take several weeks (sometimes longer) to receive your order if we need to order items from Scotland. If you must have by an item by a specific date, please indicate in the message /comment box when you place you on-line order. We will do our very best to accommodate this request and will notify you if there is any problem or delay.
Custom orders: Some items (other than kilts) are custom made (cummerbunds, stoles, Clan crest plaques ) and will take about five weeks to receive. This is also true with the lead time for fabric yardage.
Custom orders cannot be returned. Please be aware and measure correctly when ordering your kilt. To date, we have not had any unhappy kilted customers. If you have questions, please call us and we'll gladly walk you through the measuring process.
Returns: We want you to be happy with your purchase from Great Scot. And most folks are. We will accept returns on all items (other than custom orders) and will refund your credit card or check, minus a 15% restocking fee.
Shipping: Standard shipping is by USPS Priority Mail (2 to 3 days)
Extra shipping charges will apply for any Express (overnight) and or overseas (outside of USA) orders.
Customers will be responsible for any customs or duty fees on orders shipped outside of the USA.
On International orders we shipping charges are based on US orders --- we will charge what it costs us to ship to you. Also, due to fees with our bank and credit cards companies, international transactions now incur a 5% increase over the total of the cost.
