The sporran is essentially the kilt's "pocket." It is a small leather pouch that is worn outside the kilt on the front, just below the navel. Leather Sporrans

	MSL4005 - Leather Sporran Reflecting the flames of passion, our Edan Hunting Sporran is made with a red garment background leather, black pedals with red stitching and the targe has fine rivet work and embossing. An invited accent to many of those kilts that have a red dominance. This sporran comes complete with an adult sized (48.5”) smooth black leather/chain sporran strap as well as a storage box.

	MSL5005 - Bryson Hunting Sporran Carved out of the same leather... like his father in design, the only difference being the pedals and targe are black combat leather instead of mirage, bringing out more distinction in texture. This sporran comes complete with an adult sized (48.5”) smooth black leather/chain sporran strap as well as a storage box.

	MSLClan - Black Hunting Sporran, Clan The sporran incorporates many layers of intricate smooth black leather. The face of the sporran has five (5) petals riveted in place with chrome rivets. The black clan crested targe is then sewn into place. The targe is the focal point of this model, and therefore a deep emboss is essential here. (Colored leather can be placed behind as custom). The open weave cantle is then mounted on the front of the sporran. Traditionally we use the same smooth black leather, although other colors could also be used as a cantle liner. The width of the gusset is such that it allows the wearer enough room to use the pouch without having too much room. If you've ever tried to get through an entire day wearing a kilt, you've no doubt found a need for a sporran. Many people don't think about it until they're wearing one, but truly authentic kilts have a major drawback for the modern man--no pockets. A sporran is a leather pouch worn at the waist over the kilt that takes the place of pockets and adds a unique bit of style, as well.

How to Wear a Sporran
There is a proper way to wear a sporran. It should be worn over the center of the front of the kilt, and should be placed approximately three fingers below the belt or waistcoat. The strap that holds the sporran in place should fasten in the back and rest on the hips. If you own a kilt, you'll want a quality sporran to go with it--or perhaps even several so that you can go casual or dressy. Many people even use their sporrans to advertise clan affiliations further, incorporating the clan crest into the design on the front of the sporran.
